According to the Wall Street Journal, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Fannie Mae oversight officials are investigating whether Donald Trump's appointee, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director John Pulte, improperly obtained mortgage records from key Democratic officials, including the New York Attorney General. The sources said the investigation into Pulte has been escalated to the Inspector General level and has been transferred to prosecutors.
