Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee said the Hong Kong SAR government will hold events on July 1 to mark the 29th anniversary of the territory’s return to China, including a flag-raising ceremony, marching displays and sports matches. The government will also offer one-day promotions: MTR will distribute 71,000 free tickets and tram rides will be free. Further details will be announced later.
