China's foreign ministry said three South Korean lawmakers met a Taiwan 'Foreign Ministry' official on the 8th to discuss geopolitical challenges, political-economic and cultural exchanges, and semiconductor and AI industry development. Spokesman Lin Jian reiterated Taiwan is part of China and there is no 'Foreign Ministry', saying Beijing firmly opposes any official exchanges between Taiwan and countries that have diplomatic ties with China. China said Seoul had publicly reaffirmed its One-China position earlier this year, has lodged a stern representation, and urged South Korea to honor the One-China principle, avoid official contacts with Taiwan and not send signals that could be used by Taiwan independence forces.
