Guangdong Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued an
action plan for high‑quality electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The plan
calls for building more than 3.0 mln charging facilities by end‑2027 to meet
charging demand for over 8.0 mln new‑energy vehicles (NEVs), creating a
ultra complementary‑fast/fast/slow charging network and balancing deployment
across eastern, western and northern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta. The
plan also calls for ultra‑fast charging coverage in every county and for the
number of ultra‑fast charging stations to be at least equal to the number of gas
stations.
