Chief Executive John Lee said the Hong Kong government will launch a two-month
public consultation on a Hong Kong five-year plan beginning June 15 and will
publish the consultation document that day. Lee said the plan will uphold One
Country, Two Systems, enforce patriots governing Hong Kong, and pursue the twin
Key strategic goals of developing the economy and improving livelihoods.
directions include a people-centred approach, better integration of a proactive
government with efficient markets, and strengthened governance effectiveness. He
described the plan as forward-looking, strategic and actionable, and said annual
policy addresses will be more closely aligned with the five-year plan.
