BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu said second-generation blade batteries and flash-charging technology has resolved a major EV pain point and drawn strong domestic and international praise, but current battery capacity is still insufficient. Capacity is ramping by roughly 20,000-30,000 incremental units per month, he said, and the company is working around the clock to meet demand. Wang warned that vehicle sales this year will be determined by battery production.
