US tech reporter Mark Gurman said Apple (AAPL.O)'s latest release fell short of disruptive innovation but rebuilt the foundations of its major platforms with practical AI features, a markedly improved Siri and performance upgrades. Gurman said that is crucial because a slate of flagship devices running these operating systems will arrive over the next three years, and called the move the right decision.

China A-share PCB sector rallied; Tongyu New Materials hit the daily limit, with Shengquan Group, Hongchang Electronics and Jin'an Guoji also limit-up. Aike Optoelectronics rose over 9%, while Jiangnan New Materials, Nanya New Materials and Defu Technology gained. Market sources say a surge in computing-power demand has driven electronic-cloth prices sharply higher: as of early June commonly used specifications have seen five rounds of price increases year-to-date, average price about 7.4 yuan/m, roughly 100% above last year’s Q3 trough.
