Sentix euro area investor confidence rose more than expected in June: composite index +3.0 points to -13.4 and the economic expectations subindex +4.8 points. Sentix said market angst from the Iran conflict and the oil-price spike has eased and global conditions led by the US and Asia are improving; the global composite climbed 4.4 points to 8.0. It warned the euro area recovery remains relatively mild versus other regions and said persistently high energy prices continue to lift inflation expectations, keeping pressure on central banks.
