China and Mongolia held the second "Prairie Partner-2026" joint army training at
a combined training base in Inner Mongolia from May 30 to June 6. Exercises
focused on joint command and coordinated strikes against illegal armed groups,
with systematic employment of unmanned and intelligent systems. Manned‑unmanned
coordinated assault drills were conducted with live opposing forces and laser
engagement and included unmanned reconnaissance/strike, combined manned–unmanned
breach and obstacle clearance, and trench clearance. The series aims to deepen
tactical exchange and strengthen joint tasking and shared response to security
risks.
