DESTATIS said on Tuesday Germany's industrial production rose 0.4% MoM in April,
the first increase since the outbreak of the war in Iran, largely driven by
construction. March was revised to a -0.1% decline from a preliminary -0.7%.
April exports and imports unexpectedly rose. The data contrast with earlier weak
prints: April factory orders fell more than expected on Monday, with notable
declines in autos and electrical equipment. The production uptick offers limited
relief to Europe’s largest economy amid surging energy prices.
