At midday close, China's main futures contracts were mostly lower: coking coal down >6%, fuel oil down >4%, coke and synthetic rubber about 4% lower, polysilicon down >3%, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and SC crude near 3% lower, and silicon metal down >2%. Risers included Europe-route container shipping and lithium carbonate up >3%, alumina up >2%, live hogs, eggs and starch up >1%, and logs up about 1%.
