FRENCH COMMERCE MINISTER: RELEASE OF STRATEGIC OIL RESERVES TO BE DISCUSSED AT G7 MINISTER MEETING ON MONDAY

Indian Oil Corp. has purchased liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Iran for the first time since 2018, as India seeks to ease shortages of cooking fuel amid disruption from the Middle East conflict. The cargo of about 43,000 tons of butane and propane will be shared with Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd. and Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd., according to people familiar with the deal. The return to Iranian supply follows a temporary US waiver allowing limited energy purchases from Iran. Additional LPG cargoes are also being negotiated.
