China’s National Bureau of Statistics said international crude oil price
fluctuations have a relatively limited impact on the country, given its
diversified energy structure.
Officials noted oil accounts for less than 20% of total energy consumption,
while coal still provides over 50% of supply and acts as a key stabilizer. The
share of non-fossil energy, including wind and solar, has risen to around 20%.
