The White House rejected reports that the Trump administration has formally requested an extension of its two-week cease-fire with Iran. Karoline Leavitt said “that is not true at the moment,” while stressing that negotiations remain “productive and ongoing.” She added that the administration is optimistic about reaching a deal and praised Pakistan’s mediation efforts, which continue to facilitate communication between the two sides as broader talks over the cease-fire framework proceed.
