Saudi Arabia hosted an emergency meeting in Jeddah with Gulf leaders, including
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Qatar’s emir and Bahrain’s king, to address
the regional impact of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran. Discussions focused on
de-escalation efforts, regional security coordination and perceived threats from
Iran, according to officials. The meeting follows Iran’s proposal to halt Strait
of Hormuz attacks in exchange for ending the war and lifting the U.S. blockade
of its ports.
