Meta Platforms Inc. is building a personalised “agentic” AI assistant powered by
its Muse Spark model to perform everyday tasks for users, with internal trials
underway, according to people familiar with the matter. The effort targets
functionality similar to OpenClaw, enabling autonomous task execution. Meta may
allow users to share sensitive data such as health and financial information.
One person familiar with the project said, “There’s a trust deficit as wide as
the Grand Canyon.” The initiative comes as Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg
increases AI investment, with capital expenditure projected up to $145 billion,
amid investor concerns over costs and execution.
