Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee said the city is advancing embodied AI and other strategic future industries in alignment with China’s “15th Five-Year Plan” and “AI+” initiative. Speaking at the inaugural Hong Kong Embodied AI Industry Summit, Lee said the government-owned Hong Kong AI R&D Institute will begin operations in the second half of the year to support AI research, commercialization and industry applications, including embodied intelligence solutions.
