UAE DENIES REPORTS OF NETANYAHU'S VISIT TO THE UAE -FOREIGN MINISTRY

U.S. President Donald Trump said he was honored to pay a state visit to China and described U.S.–China relations as positive, saying he and Chinese President Xi Jinping have maintained the longest and strongest relationship between leaders of the two countries, according to Xinhua. Trump said Xi is a great leader and China is a great country, adding that he has deep respect for Xi and the Chinese people. He described the meeting as a globally significant one. He said he is willing to work with Xi to strengthen communication and cooperation, properly manage differences, and “open the best U.S.–China relationship in history,” while building a more promising future for both countries.

China’s gasoline demand is expected to fall further this year as higher oil prices from the Iran conflict and a long-term shift toward electrification reduce consumption. GL Consulting forecasts a 5.5% decline, revised from 5.2%, marking the second-largest contraction on record after 2022 Covid lockdowns. The International Energy Agency also expects demand to slow sharply this quarter. Rising fuel prices, near record highs in April, have curbed driving despite government caps. Analysts said inflation pressures and growing transport alternatives are further weakening gasoline and diesel demand in China.
