Nvidia server partner Hon Hai Precision Industry reported stronger-than-expected
first-quarter profit, underscoring resilient AI hardware demand. Net income rose
to NT$49.9 billion, above estimates of NT$48.4 billion, while sales increased
30% to about NT$2.1 trillion. AI server demand drove growth in cloud and
networking, helping offset higher costs and supply-chain risks tied to the
Middle East crisis. Analysts said demand for Apple’s iPhone 17 series and
entry-level iPhone 17e also supported consumer electronics growth, though
margins may face pressure from rising AI server exposure.
