IRAN FOREIGN MINISTER: ALL VESSELS CAN PASS THROUGH STRAIT OF HORMUZ EXCEPT THOSE AT WAR WITH US

Donald Trump said he and Xi Jinping agreed that Iran should not obtain nuclear weapons and that the Strait of Hormuz should reopen, as Washington seeks Beijing’s help pressuring Tehran into negotiations to end the Iran war. China struck a cautious tone, urging diplomacy over Iran’s nuclear program. Iran’s Fars news agency said Chinese vessels would be allowed to transit Hormuz after talks with Beijing, while the US said it has blocked 72 commercial ships from passing through the strategic waterway.
