Iran said it is reviewing the latest US peace proposal aimed at preventing
renewed hostilities. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said discussions
are based on Iran’s earlier 14-point plan, which proposes reopening the Strait
of Hormuz and lifting the US blockade on Iranian ports before broader nuclear
negotiations. Tehran reiterated it wants guarantees that fighting will end
across all fronts, including Lebanon, and called for sanctioned assets to be
unfrozen. President Donald Trump said the US was in the “final stages” of
diplomacy with Iran, boosting market hopes for a deal.
