However, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson later signaled a more cautious stance, saying differences between Iran and the United States remain “deep and significant,” that negotiations are currently focused on ending the war, and that “we cannot necessarily say that we have reached a point where an agreement is close.” The spokesperson also said nuclear details are “not being discussed at this stage.”
