China Telecom Research Institute, China Telecom Hubei Branch and CITIC Mobile Communication Technology Co. ran 6G terminal prototype downlink peak tests in Wuhan on May 28. Tests recorded a per-terminal downlink peak of 5 Gbps and a system downlink peak of 10 Gbps, validating 6G’s potential to raise throughput and spectral efficiency.

On the 28th Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada approved a law creating the legal framework to receive a €90 billion EU loan, finance minister Marchenko said. The package allocates €60 billion to strengthen Ukraine's defence-industrial capacity and €30 billion for budget support; Marchenko said Ukraine will only repay the loan if Russia pays war reparations, with principal and interest to be offset against any Russian payments.

At a meeting the EU Oil Coordination Group said it currently sees no imminent concern about the EU’s gas supply security for the coming winter.
