Following Russia's strikes on Ukraine, a drone entered EU member Romania's
airspace in the early hours of Friday and crashed onto the roof of an apartment
block in the eastern city of Galati, sparking a fire and injuring two people.
The Romanian Defence Ministry said radar tracked the drone from the Ukrainian
border into Romania and that this is the first recorded drone strike on a
residential building in Romania. The ministry said it scrambled two F-16s to
track multiple drones flying near the border and that pilots have been
authorized to engage airborne targets.
