China's Foreign Ministry said it is highly concerned after Japanese government
data showed Defense Ministry orders have tripled over the past five years and
now account for about half of FY2025 government public procurement orders. The
ministry called the reactivation and rapid rise of Japan's military‑industrial
complex a sign of accelerated re‑militarization, warned civilian budgets and
industrial capacity are being diverted to military production, and said the
development is prompting broad domestic and international concern.
