Hennepin County prosecutors said an ICE enforcement officer, Kristi Castro, was
arrested in Texas on the 29th. U.S. sources say Castro shot and wounded a
Venezuelan national during a January federal immigration operation. Earlier this
month Hennepin County charged her with four counts of second‑degree assault and
one count of false reporting. ICE called the county arrest unlawful political
theater and said any alleged misconduct should be handled at the federal level.
