The Guangdong Development and Reform Commission has opened public consultation
on the draft Low-Altitude Economy Development Regulations. The draft targets key
bottlenecks constraining the province’s low-altitude economy and sets targeted
institutional measures: establish a coordinated low-altitude airspace operation
mechanism to improve airspace utilization; mandate planning, operation,
management and renovation for low-altitude infrastructure; strengthen
supervision of flight activities and assign low-altitude safety
responsibilities; and expand classified low-altitude application scenarios with
orderly pilots and promotion of new use cases.
