Iranian negotiator Saeed Ajorlou said Tehran has not approved the final draft of
a proposed agreement with the US; as of Friday night the text remained
unapproved though differences were minimal. He said approval would trigger a
60‑day detailed negotiation phase. The draft contains 14 main clauses, each with
annexes requiring further negotiation. Ajorlou said enforcement
mechanisms—particularly access to Iranian assets and counterpart compliance—are
more important than the text itself. The proposal includes a clause allowing
Iran to withdraw if the other side fails to meet commitments; cited triggers
include breach of a ceasefire, denial of access to Iranian funds, or failure to
lift a maritime blockade. He added Iran could reconsider entering the 60‑day
talks if initial commitments are not implemented.
