U.S. reports on May 30 said companies have begun receiving tariff refunds after
the U.S. Supreme Court found the Trump administration lacked authority to impose
higher tariffs on nearly all trading partners. The refund process could be
disrupted after the administration on May 29 said it plans to appeal a federal
judge’s ruling that allows all importers who paid the invalidated tariffs, not
just litigants, to seek refunds.
