London-based Iran International TV, citing a source, reported President PEZESHKIAN has submitted a formal resignation request to the Supreme Leader's office. In a letter sent Sunday he said the presidency and government have been excluded from major state decision-making, creating a power vacuum that has allowed hardliners within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to seize control. He said he cannot manage the government or fulfill his legal duties under these conditions and has asked to resign immediately.
