China's Shanghai Composite fell 0.12% at the mid-day close after earlier gains; the Shenzhen Composite dropped 0.60% and the ChiNext index fell 0.90%. AI PC-theme names were active, with Huaqin Technology among several stocks hitting daily limit-up. Coal, chemicals and power-grid equipment sectors strengthened, also seeing multiple limit-up moves. CPO and PCB themes weakened, with Cambridge Technology at the daily limit-down. AI application, sports and oil & gas sectors were among the top performers; glass/fibreglass, semiconductors and baijiu lagged. Market breadth skewed positive, with more than 3,800 A-shares rising.

Haisco said its self-developed Class 1 innovative intravenous anesthetic, ciprofol injection, has received US FDA approval for induction of general anesthesia in adults. Ciprofol is the first China-originated original intravenous anesthetic to secure international market approval.
