Iranian state media said Tehran has suspended mediator-led negotiations and document exchanges with the United States, citing Israeli strikes on Lebanon and ceasefire violations across multiple fronts. Iran and the Axis of Resistance said they will fully block the Strait of Hormuz and open other fronts, including the Mandeb Strait, to punish Israel and its supporters. The National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) said the special remediation of "AI-altered" videos launched in January 2026 has been effective and, from Feb. 1, is being continued under a normalized, institutionalized long‑term mechanism. The NRTA instructed major online audiovisual platforms to deepen implementation of platform responsibilities and strengthen daily screening, prioritizing removal of illegal AI-altered material derived from the Four Great Classical Novels, historical and revolutionary subjects, and heroic figures, and to clear various cult animations. Several major platforms reported May results: they removed more than 8,000 illegal videos and took action against over 20 violating accounts.

May 28 — The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) held a special training course at Tsinghua University for central SOE personnel in the new-energy vehicle (NEV) sector; SASAC vice director Tan Zuojun attended. SASAC said the programme will accelerate organisational progress and urgent talent development aligned with NEV electrification, smartification and AI integration to support SOE transformation and upgrades. Training will focus on technical leaders' industry-direction judgment, core-technology innovation and industrial-ecosystem coordination, and on marketing leaders' user insight, digital marketing and overseas market expansion, with a particular push to cultivate AI+NEV specialists to enhance AI-defined vehicle capabilities and AI-enabled advanced manufacturing.
