On the evening of June 1 local time, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu held a phone call with U.S. President Trump to discuss developments in Iran and Lebanon. The call followed Israeli forces crossing the Litani River to launch an offensive, effectively collapsing a temporary ceasefire that began April 17.
