On the three-year anniversary of RCEP's full implementation, the Customs
Guangdong branch reported that since June 2, 2023 Guangdong ports recorded 53.8
bln yuan of imports eligible for RCEP preferences, generating 1.4 bln yuan in
tariff reductions. Tariff relief rose sharply for three consecutive years, up
8.81% in 2023, 32.35% in 2024 and 32.12% in 2025. Customs said it has
streamlined RCEP clearance, guided firms on applying RCEP origin rules to choose
optimal preferential treatment, promoted approved-exporter status and stacked
benefits with Customs' high-level certified enterprises, sustaining the release
of tariff-relief gains.
