Semiconductors outperformed: Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (06869.HK) up nearly 17%, Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347.HK) up over 6%, SMIC (00981.HK) up over 4%.

Poland's deputy prime minister and defense minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on social media on the 3rd he formally proposed to US Defense Secretary Hegseth the creation of a new permanent US military base in Poland. Kosiniak-Kamysz said US commitment to Poland's security has not weakened and could "become more steadfast."
