Sichuan Governor Shi Xiaolin met in Chengdu with China Merchants Group General
Manager Shi Dai to discuss new strategic cooperation under the 15th Five-Year
Plan and the Chengdu–Chongqing twin-city economic circle. They agreed to
leverage China Merchants' international, diversified central-SOE platform to
pursue projects in technology commercialization, industrial upgrading, open-hub
development, and urban renewal and residential construction, and to expand tech
services. The parties will advance integration of transport corridors,
logistics, communications and data networks, and coordinate five major financial
initiatives to boost financing for the real economy, support Sichuan firms'
outbound expansion, and expedite project implementation serving national
strategy and Sichuan's high-quality development.
