Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on the 4th at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that if the Middle East conflict continues and Gulf oil producers fail to raise output, the international oil market could face a broad, material supply shortfall in coming months, RIA Novosti reported. Novak said the impact of the global energy crisis is already visible and called it "an unprecedented crisis."

The China Automotive Engineering Society forecasts new-energy vehicles (NEVs) will account for more than 70% of new passenger-car sales by 2030; L3/L4 autonomous-driving features will be fitted on over 35% of new passenger cars, and Chinese automakers' overseas sales will reach nearly 10 mln units. The society expects the next five years to bring accelerated electrification, digital-intelligent transformation across the full industry chain, and a deep reshaping of competitive and cooperative dynamics between domestic and foreign automakers. Vice chairman and secretary-general Hou Fushen made the remarks at the society's June 3 annual meeting press briefing.
