China foreign minister Wang Yi met Myanmar foreign minister Ding Maorui in Beijing. Wang said this is the new Myanmar government’s first year and reiterated China’s non‑interference stance while urging Myanmar to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, institutions and projects. Beijing offered to deepen high‑quality Belt and Road cooperation—covering post‑earthquake reconstruction, trade, investment, people‑to‑people ties—and to steadily advance China‑Myanmar Economic Corridor flagship projects. Both sides agreed to step up cooperation to combat cross‑border online gambling and telecom fraud; Myanmar welcomed more Chinese investment and pledged stronger high‑level and multilateral coordination (UN, ASEAN, Lancang‑Mekong).
