Citing rodent habits and epidemiological criteria, the team—comprising Argentina's National Laboratory, the Carlos Malbrán Institute and US CDC experts—will work in Mendoza from the 8th to 12th, deploying traps for long‑tailed pygmy rice rats and other rodents linked to hantavirus transmission. Samples will be initially processed at a field laboratory, stored locally, then transferred to the Malbrán Institute.
