National Energy Group says a domestically developed hydrogen–coal co-firing system has for the first time achieved 50% green-hydrogen co-firing by heat share and 100% pure-hydrogen combustion on a test rig. The project uses an indigenous low‑NOx hydrogen–coal burner and a full-process safety protection system from hydrogen transport to furnace; with green hydrogen blended, coal savings and CO2 reductions can reach up to 50%, and NOx formation was effectively controlled.
