Yesterday (June 6) the world’s first prefabricated compute-center “base” was
commissioned in Qingdao, Shandong. Developers say it shortens construction time
by nearly 70% versus traditional compute centers and offers a more efficient,
lower-carbon option for current compute-infrastructure buildouts. The base
functions as the facility’s energy hub and power backbone, supplying continuous,
stable electricity; developers say its supply stability and energy-efficiency
directly determine overall compute-center operating capacity.
