Under the OPEC+ framework, seven members—Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Algeria and Oman—agreed to raise their crude production cap by 188,000 barrels per day from July. The statement said members reaffirmed the need for caution and retain full flexibility to increase, pause or reverse voluntary output adjustments. The seven will meet again on July 5.

France’s Macron, UK Prime Minister Starmer and German Chancellor Merz are due to meet Ukrainian President Zelenskiy in London on the evening of the 7th to discuss continued support for Ukraine and steps to end the Russia-Ukraine war, the Elysée said. Russian Culture Minister Lyubimova said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that Russia plans to expand film cooperation with China. She called China’s film industry one of the world’s leaders and said Chinese filmmakers value both commercial returns and the values, morals and traditions conveyed by scripts. Lyubimova added that Russian filmmakers are currently focused on developing the Chinese market, and that securing access to China — rather than box-office receipts — is considered the primary measure of success.
