Yemen's Houthis announced a total ban on Israeli vessels transiting the Red Sea.

At midday the Hang Seng Index was down 1.18% and the Hang Seng Tech Index was down 2.40%. PCB names led gains: Kingboard Laminates (01888.HK) rose over 10% while Shenghong Technology (02476.HK) bucked the trend, falling more than 6%. Heavy-equipment shares advanced with China Longgong (03339.HK) up over 4%. Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank (03618.HK) gained around 2%. Oilfield services stock Shandong Molong (00568.HK) jumped over 15%. Beer, dairy and auto-dealer stocks also strengthened. Laggards included memory, semiconductor, OLED, optical-communications, gold and nonferrous-metal sectors. Notable individual movers: Tianshu Zhixin (09903.HK) rose over 11%, MINIMAX-W (00100.HK) fell more than 8%, and Zhipu (02513.HK) closed up 2%.

Qingdao Maritime Safety Administration, via the China Maritime Safety Administration website, issued a navigational warning that parts of the Yellow Sea will conduct live‑fire exercises from June 8 16:00 to June 9 18:00; vessels are prohibited from entering the affected area.
