June 8 — Chongqing municipal industry commission said Changan Auto’s fully
in-house multimodal Tianshu large model has passed a national generative AI
service filing with the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), making Changan
the first automaker in Chongqing and one of few nationally to obtain the
qualification. The model, adapted for in-vehicle scenarios, has completed
internal testing and received compliance clearance for public commercial use.
The filing marks a shift from R&D to scalable commercial deployment for domestic
automaker–developed in-car AI and removes a policy barrier to wider roll-out of
intelligent-vehicle interaction and autonomous-driving services.
