SK Telecom and NVIDIA on June 8 announced plans to build a gigawatt-scale AI
cloud in South Korea using NVIDIA’s DSX platform. The first AI factory is
scheduled to enter service in 2027, with plans to expand more broadly across
Asia. The AI cloud will use NVIDIA’s DSX full-stack reference architecture and
support training, inference and agent workloads across sovereign AI, physical AI
and enterprise AI use cases. SK Telecom will join NVIDIA’s cloud partner
program. NVIDIA and SK Group will conduct joint research on next-generation AI
factory architectures, focusing on full-stack innovation from chips to the power
grid, including accelerated compute, storage technologies and data-center
operations.
