On Monday, June 8, the Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 237.28 points (+0.47%) at 51,104.06; the S&P 500 opened up 71.34 points (+0.97%) at 7,455.08; the Nasdaq Composite opened up 390.62 points (+1.52%) at 26,100.06.

Hubei Provincial Science & Technology Investment Co., United Imaging Group and Tongji Hospital (Huazhong University of Science & Technology) have opened a composite operating-room application demonstration center at Tongji Hospital’s Guanggu campus. The facility is central China’s first domestically produced high-end composite OR demonstration platform and China’s first integrated smart surgical platform explicitly designed to support the full technical pathway for implantable brain–computer interfaces.

At the midday close, China’s main futures contracts were mixed. Container shipping (Europe route) jumped more than 9%; LPG rose over 6%; methanol rose over 5%; PET chips, asphalt, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and fuel oil gained more than 4%; urea was up over 3%. On the downside, Shanghai silver tumbled more than 8%; Shanghai tin fell about 6%; palladium and platinum dropped over 5%; caustic soda fell ~4%; Shanghai gold was down over 3%; apples and rubber declined about 2%.
