Li Shulei, Politburo member and minister of the Central Propaganda Department,
spoke via video at the forum and urged accelerated application of artificial
intelligence in news reporting, cultural dissemination and public services to
speed media transformation. He called for international consensus on AI
governance, stressing human-centered, ethical use of digital-intelligence
technologies and the construction of online platforms to promote civilizational
exchange and people-to-people ties.
