JD.com launched the Agent Autonomous Payment Protocol (A2P2), China’s first
payment standard designed specifically for AI agents. A2P2 enables agents to
execute payments autonomously within rule constraints while ensuring transaction
traceability and auditability. JD positions the protocol for supply-chain
settlement and consumer spending scenarios, saying it fills a key trust gap in
payments for the emerging intelligent economy and provides secure, compliant,
and regulatorily accessible payment infrastructure for large-scale agent
applications.
