June 12 — Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said the ministry's website sets out the details of the decision to sanction Philippine defense minister Teodoro and his relatives. Asked by RUSSIA TODAY whether the sanctions would affect future Chinese aid to the Philippines, including fuel and supplies, Lin warned that allowing figures like Teodoro to repeatedly undermine efforts to stabilize bilateral ties would ultimately harm the Philippine state's and people's fundamental interests.

Shanghai Composite rose 1.12% at close, Shenzhen Composite gained 0.75% and the ChiNext Index was up 0.50% after opening the session higher; ChiNext initially climbed over 2% before retreating intraday.
