Baidu's DuMate completed a core engine upgrade. Using the Harness engine and engineering-level optimizations, token consumption during task execution fell 75% while agent intelligence and task performance were maintained; user point consumption declined by the same proportion. Baidu says this is the first Chinese general-purpose agent product to achieve a large task-cost reduction via the Harness engine and engineering tuning.
